The Unfair Modern World Poem by Dr John Celes

The Unfair Modern World

The best of talents aren't always the first!
The skilled can't always climb up to the top;
The laboring classes don't get paid toil's worth;
The lucky few awarded aren't the best!

World's top celebrities are vainglorious;
The beauty queens who win are not the best;
Many are heros, heroines unsung;
This world's unfair to most deserving few!

Besides true skills, pluck matters in all games;
Who wins each time depends on changing rules;
All is not fair in sports and earthly tests;
Only a few do truly reach the top!
