The Truth Behind Our Lies Poem by raesheka antwine

The Truth Behind Our Lies

Let our minds touch
Let our hearts ease
Let those bad words
Roll off our sleeves

Let our body’s shake
Let our body’s move
Just bounce
To the groove

We don’t own these bodies
There just for rent
Some souls say:
We were heaven sent

He is my superman
Like Clark Kent
When I need to hide
He is my tent

People say love rules
But we say there just fools
Open these eyes
Not my thighs

People tell lies
That spread like flies
There the reason
That baby’s cry
That a mother may cry
To a empty sky

The truth is hard to say
That’s why people lie day by day
And go on like they lay
Down in the dirt

People will get hurt
Truths will be found
The end of the day
The lies become truth
Truth become lies
