The Truth Poem by Jay hmph

The Truth

The river follows its path
A flock of birds fly overhead
Cryptic memories fill my head
I hoped that you would arrive

My heart was frozen
The ache was unspeakable
I was forced to confront the cold hard truth
As the sky began to darken

I am locked with in my own sorrow
Mesmerized by your charm
As you circled me as if I were your prey
Roses fall around me
As the truth becomes clear

Never was I more
Then a pawn in your game

NOTE: I am willing to take any suggestions to make this piece better.
