The True Power That Hugs Us
'There is power in a hug', as some would vainly say
Although it can lift for a moment, our human pain today.
But the infinite touch we all need and perhaps miss
Is the Presence of God, the only Source of Peace.
I pray today Oh LORD, our God Eternal,
That You may bless all who are hurting today
With the comfort that surpasses whatever here is mortal
The true Power that hugs us, takes our Fear away!
