The True Meaning Of Christmas Poem by John Masaitis

The True Meaning Of Christmas

Rating: 5.0

Is it when aunts and uncles all come around?
or is it when your family goes out of town?
Maybe its buying gifts for the people you love.
But wait, have we all forgotten the One up above.
This is how the world perceives this Holiday.
I am so angry its time for me to say.
That we are all blinded by the man in red,
have we all forgotten what the Bible has said?
God gave us a great miracle, Jesus His Son,
but I am so ashamed for what we have done.
We pushed Jesus out and put Santa Claus in
over our Lord and Savior who died for our sin.
He could of been born with riches and more,
but he came as a King, not wealthy, but poor.
Not born in a palace, but a manger in hay
with animals all around our King did lay.
And when we wake up on Christmas morn
we run to our gifts forgetting He was born.
So when Jesus looks down on His special day
we're just to busy to give thanks and pray
as we grab another gift from under the tree
He says once again they have forgotten me.
My ANGER is burning I must PROCLAIM!
We kick Santa out and let Jesus REIN!
Satan made this so called gift giver in red
hoping we would forget the blood Jesus shed.
When He died on that cross for you and I
He left us the greatest gift a home in the sky!
But God had decided it is our choice
and God wants to hear the Angels rejoice!
So on this beautiful Christmas day,
open your Bible and kneel down to pray
that the world would stop and think of God's only son
that is where THE TRUE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS is from.
