The Timed Affair Poem by Sabine Borrageiro

The Timed Affair

its 12 midday
when you arrive
in your pressed
linen suit
cornflower blue shirt
lopsided grin
tousled hair
i adore you!
with trembling
fingers
i strip you naked
with experienced
hands
you strip my soul
i stand and
behold
your beautiful
naked body
i adore you!
fumbling hastily
such lightning
speed
you devour my
willing body
is it desire
that hastens
your want
or is it
time restraint?
i care not
you complete me!
its 12: 42
you search for
scattered socks
mumbling that
you’re late
i quietly watch you
biting my
bottom lip
wondering why
you don’t feel
ethereal afterglow
car keys
check!
wallet
check!
bye bye baby
you whisper
as you place
a hurried peck
on my warm
cheek
you do not see
lonely tears
curve over the
cheekbone
that you so
tenderly kissed
if there was
more time
i would’ve told
you …
i love you!
