The Time Has Finally Come Poem by Haley Brown

Step by step,
Day by day,
For the past year,
Its been so much fun.
You've watched us grow
You've taught us so much.

The work was hard.
It looks like its paid off.
Just look we are ready to take off.

By the raise or a hand
Or the shout of a name
Within a second, you came.

I remember the very first day,
When you reached out and
Took hold of our hand
We no longer felt that first day fear.

We learned all that you taught,
Took all that you gave.
From inequalities to reading a play.
From the World Wars, to chemical equations.
One day we will put it all to use.

Through this whole year
You've been there for us
Now we are off to something new and exciting.
But we are scared that you aren't going to be there.

Next year you will be
Starting a new adventure too,

Now we graduate.
We hug and cry.

Just know that
We will miss you
And,
It hurts to say 'Goodbye.'
