The Time Has Changed Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

The Time Has Changed

Rating: 5.0

Brilliance and intelligence
Has no relevance
Nobility and simplicity has been marginalized
The show off business has been fully realized

Yes, academicians die of hunger
No proper job for them any longer
People want bread for their hard word
No Mahabharta* or Ramayana with Vedic words

Nobody can survive on book knowledge
The scientific revolution has edged them out
Only technical knowledge can fill your belley
This fact is realized already

The religious approach is good
The holy books must be properly understood
Exclusive knowledge of holy books keeps you in starvation
It has no bearing on real situation

The time has changed and so is the reality
There is lot of difficulty
In getting the job of servant or office boy
Those who hold master's also want it to enjoy
