The Tilt Poem by Somanathan Iyer

The Tilt

Good and evil is the challenging riddle
which life places before obscure intelligence
enters here the mind to take control
sends the wisdom packing for a holiday
matters most always to the mind
is materialistic urge satisfied
Being good hardly yields anything that ups the status
Evil, though never called so till it gets unveiled
lures the mind with colorful offers
Instant results if shown some courage
up for grabs in the ways of other than good
tilts the mind towards that burying all the inner voice
