The Tempter’s Demise (1)

Quite soon we’ll see the tempter die
Satan will lose his crown
When Jesus’ cloud adorns the sky
When every knee must bow

In armour clad we’ll join God’s realm
A mass of brilliant lights
Safely with Jesus at the helm
We’ll fight the fight of fights

We’ll fight the fight and never fail
We’ll fight with shield and sword
The tempter then we’ll find in jail
Through fire’s eternal cord

We need to stand The Saviour true
God’s hill in Christ ascend
Drink Jesus’ blood receive His Dew
All righteousness defend

Who seek the way whilst yet there’s time
Received God’s wind divine
Who’ve sought for higher heights to climb
Will drink eternal wine

Then endless will man’s tempter burn
Endless the fire’s tongue
With those who from Salvation turn
Who Satan’s songs have sung

The tempters strong; through what we give
When from The Truth we slide
When straying from God’s way to live
Through whom we let inside

Though demons tempt on hill and dale
Cross-rivers land and sea
Yet flesh in Christ will seldom fail
That daily bends the knee…P.T.O…
