The Temple Poem by David Harris

The Temple

The temple stands in ruins,
neglected and overgrown,
ravaged by time.
Once it stood proud
and lovers gathered there,
but now it stands crumpled beyond repair
that love ceases to go there anymore
as it slowly disappears into the dust
from which it was born.
