The Tempest Poem by Alfonso Siverls

The Tempest

I see an awakening on the horizon
Elements coming together
Erupting into compounds
Brought about by benign neglect
Called aide

Rooted in history
Forged by the greed of others
And composed without Ariel
And the sprite world

It is slowly spreading across the globe
Heating the third world
Forcing itself on the old world
And scaring the new world

You can see it in the eyes of the children
You can hear it in the voices of the youth

Moving slow but steady
The Tempest is upon us
