The Table Is Spread Poem by Singleton M. Tate

The Table Is Spread

Let it be, that I may sit amongst the 'Holy'
Forever to be at rest,
After my work on earth is over,
Then I'll have God to address
~~~~
Let it be, that I was 'Faithful'
To obey His matchless voice,
That this soul stayed the course,
Because God was my source
~~~~

Let it be, that I 'Suffered Loss'
As I counted the cost,
Looking forward to God's Smile,
When I reach the last mile
~~~~
Let it be, that all my sins were 'Forgiven'
There's a mansion for me in Heaven,
When my mission is done,
I'll be greeted by 'His Son'
~~~~

Let it be, that I shined 'His Light'
That I never walked blindly in spite,
Revealing a heart like a child,
By God's Grace without guile
~~~~
Let it be, that He'll say 'Well Done'
That the 'Victory's been Won'
And the,
Wedding,
Has Begun
~~~~

Come On In,
'The Table is Spread'
'The Bride is Ready'
'The Honeymoon's Ahead'
