The Swimmer Poem by Maureen Emily Orr

The Swimmer

the young swimmer swum
in the bobbing of the waves
her nubile body lapped into
the mouth of the sea
floating like a bubble in the water
her skin shimmered in the sunlight
while the ocean washed her
with its salt dew
and opened its heart
with the warmth of its waves
and the swimmer swum
in its homeland
