The Sweetest Slumber Poem by Kate Kate

The Sweetest Slumber

Wow... so I apologize I had put Leaves down as the sweetest slumber. THIS is the sweetest slumber.

And so I'm lying here
I'll close my eyes
See a picture
and then it'll begin to fade
As it fades I slowly drift into the sweetest of slumbers.

Its a blackout
I don't think
I don't feel
I just lay and rest.

Then a picture
Then a story
I'm watching a movie
Compiled of memories
And exagerated hopes.

As consciousness takes over
I start to control my story
I know it'll all be over soon
But still I dream.

I hear foot steps
Are they the ones who will take me?
Now the beads have rattled
My toes have been touched
Its time to wake up.

I think the sweetest slumber is when you just pass out, lol. In all honesty though, this particular writing got me to think about a lot of things, rele made my brain work, I like that.
