The Swallow Poem by Matthew Holloway

The Swallow

Rating: 4.5

The swallow
~
A swallow sings for thee
beside the river in the rain
beautiful nature in rhapsody
a sonnet greeted with applause
as each leaf upon every tree
claps each raindrop upon every note
the swallow sings on aloud
water dances in the river
the world is alive and happy
a portrait caught in simplicity
I saw it once and I thought
of you my love, my all, my sweet
a swallow sings for thee
beside the river in the rain
