The Sunrise Poem by Rahman Henry

The Sunrise

The clouds and the day are embracing endlessly.

I’m praying for the sun and thinking
Of your eyes;
If you were here, I’d see the sunrise in your eyes
Where In one eye, the dawn- wakening of the day;
In the other, the twilight that paints alpona.

I haven’t seen the sunrise for so long
And haven’t been taken by the gloomy dimmet
Towards the night that your hair spreads-
Where darkness is inviting us with a cast net.
