The Strugle Poem by oceanna lary

The Strugle

Rating: 2.8

have you ever felt the struggle
of one country to the next?
do you know the struggle to smuggle
one family to the next?
do you know the struggle
to learn less often?
do you know the struggle
to never let your heart soften?

to move from one country to the next
is leaving all your friends behind.
to move an uncle illegally
just for him to die?
to sit in a class
and have to deal with judgmental people
to be called an undercover immigrant?
for Americans have no heart

for the ones who have to struggle
for i, my mother, father, brothers, and sisters
are all american
born in america, forced to move to the next
for my family doesn't like to talk
about the trip
for it is the biggest struggle
