The Strings Of Life Poem by Apuna Rato

The Strings Of Life

The afternoon was pleasantly calm and music
So gentle until…..
The Death strummed fierce and ruthless
With mournfully unsympathetic beat.
The sound grew louder by each passing second.
Ere a goodbye tear shed,
The strings torn off and the world stop to exist.
'Oh! Sweet were his music', neighbors sighed
'Why in middle of the song? ' wailed loved ones.
At times, God seems unjust and
Keeps us between doubt and belief.
But the Judgment has already been pronounced
And His Supreme has overruled.
We are but just His weak subjects and
His decrees are our Royal duties.
The music was short but no man who lend
Their ears to your melodies will ever think
Of you but with admiration and affection.
May your hidden lyrics and unsung melodies
Run through your blood, generation and after.
