The Storm Poem by Jade Hymora

The Storm

I smell the threat of rain
The hint of thunder
As I lie in the grass
Theres a sudden calm
The calm before the storm

Then you appear as I knew you would
A crack of thunder
I rise to my feet
A flash of lightning
Our eyes meet
The rain begins

Rain pours over me
As I drink in your features
Memories flood my mind
The storm rises

A flash of lightning
I see your smile
The roll of thunder
A surge of heat

You take me into your arms
The lightning flashes
Tears stream down
The thunder roars
The rain washes them away

the light rain turns into a down pour
You lift my chin and gaze into my eyes
The lightning strikes
You say 'I love you'
The thunder rolls
As you kiss my lips
