The Storm Poem by Piper Brown

The Storm

The ocean rages, tossing turning violent
Green specks thrown carelessly
Like an artist dropping a paint brush
White clouds circle in a lazy circle
Creating a perfect balance of
Blue, green, and white
The depths captivate me as I gaze
Gaze into the swirl of ocean and sky
Tender shores compliment the raging storm
In yet this storm brings peace
Inner peace I cannot yet fight
This overwhelming sense of security
As if no one could ever get me
Instantly calming yet setting me on fire
Burning with desire and love
The ocean swallows any fear
Washing over me, protecting me
From the darkness outside
Just as I feel I could never pull out
One motion to break the spell
He blinks
