The Storm Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

The Storm

Rating: 5.0

Ah! The storm it ends not to-night
To-night a winter night
The storm is lustful:
Wants more,
The more the chill and frost
The more savage it prowls:
The towns and cities sleep
White-faced and scared
Through trembling neon lights
And wind-clanking lamp
Lamp-posts that vibrate as the Earth
Trembling and fearing
