The Stone Beneath My Skin Melts, Poem by Brenda Arroyo

The Stone Beneath My Skin Melts,

Rating: 5.0

A soft moon dangles above our heads,
Talcum powder moon dust mingles in our hair...
My eyes are aboard the sea of yours and I fail to notice all but you.

The earth speaks softly,
It’s prayer soothing the winds with a sweet melody...
My ears are captivated by the song of your lips and my only care is you.

The stone beneath my skin melts,
Crimson liquid flows warmly through my being as it should have many years ago...
Because your smile spoke louder than all of the voices I have always heard.
