I’m a closed book
Not easily read
Her kind words I immediately took
No lies were fed

I spilled my deepest thoughts
Still wondered by her answer
I didn’t have to call the shots
She made it easy to forget my cancer

A new friend
One in a million
Comments only to send
Two in a trillion

Unique herself
A band geek it’s true
A regular trophy on a shelf
The start of something new
