The Sparkle Poem by Olumide Sowemimo

The Sparkle

Twinkly like the stars, high above the skies;
Glows the Sparkle in your eyes;
Far away it is, like a flicker of a distance torch,
Yet I miss not the gleam in your eyes.

Fairy tales, I believe not;
Angelic beings, I am yet to be acquainted
But the Sparkle in your eyes
Proved me wrong, ye are Celestial in nature

Bestowed upon you, by the gods, in your eyes is the Sparkle,
The Sparkle associated only with the Celestial beings,
The Cherubs, Ophanims, Seraphs, Asaphs and the Parasims
All bear the Sparkle in their eyes, just like you do.

The Sparkle no mortal can resist.
Fly with your wings o thou Para,
Take me with you to your abode high above the skies;
That I may dwell amongst the Grigoris – The Observers of this World
That I may stand with the Hasmalims – The Guardians of this World
That I may dine and wine with you in your fortress
To behold the beauty of the Sparkle in your eyes
