The Sound Of Silence Poem by Royston Allen

The Sound Of Silence

Not a single word was spoken
neither was any music played.
The silence remained unbroken
and no audible sound was made.

All the angels held back their breath
their awesome silence could be heard.
For it was the silence of death
and no one dared to speak a word.

It lasted almost half an hour
this potent silence in heaven
pending the terrible power
of the mighty sealed up seven.

Then heaven's silence was broken
as the loud trumpets announced
that the seven seals were open
and the judgment of God pronounced.
