The Song Of Scrafice Poem by Rik Bertrand

The Song Of Scrafice

I have been reminded in the night, while sleeping not so right,
That life is not forever, and I should not try to be so clever.
I am not frightened by this revelation, I have no hesitation,
For my ways are not yet set and I have made no devils bet.

I have jumped off the cliff of decisions, and seen my life's revisions.
I accept the consequences of my soul, and my heart stays in control.
Forever, I will suffer for this call, but my world will never fall.
Love conquers all the wrong and my words are written in this song.

I sing a song of redemption so the entire world will know
I stand up and call for world peace; I shall put on a dramatic show.
Hear the words of wisdom as I stand upon this stage,
I sing a song of sacrifice, with a deadly but silent rage.
Feel the passion that I have given you, buy selling my soul
Feel the heat in your heart as it burns like red hot coal.
Hear the music deep down inside and Cry out with forceful plea
Show the Devil down below that we will always be free.

I sacrifice what is required of me, and this has set my whole world free.
I have spared you all the destruction cost; I have spared you family lost.
Decisions made to save our land, with the soul of this single man.
I bid you well my sacred friends, and I pray I have relieved you from your sins.

And,

I sing a song of redemption so the entire world will know
I stand up and call for world peace; I shall put on a dramatic show.
Hear the words of wisdom as I stand upon this stage,
I sing a song of sacrifice, with a deadly but silent rage.
Feel the passion that I have given you, buy selling my soul
Feel the heat in your heart as it burns like red hot coal.
Hear the music deep down inside and Cry out with forceful plea
Show the Devil down below that we will always be free.

You're asking me; why sell your soul? Why give up all your control.
And I tell you I am not a fraud, for my soul I gave to my Savior God.
You must know that life has a path for all, and this was my life's call.
It was a pleasure to give my soul, to climb from the dark black hole.

And remember the words that I first sang out are not only from me,
So join and sing them loud and helps set this world free

We sing a song of redemption so the entire world will know
We stand up and call for world peace; we shall put on a dramatic show.
Hear the words of wisdom as we stand upon this stage,
We sing a song of sacrifice, with a deadly but silent rage.
Feel the passion that I have given you, buy selling my soul
Feel the heat in your heart as it burns like red hot coal.
Hear the music deep down inside and Cry out with forceful plea
Show the Devil down below that we will always be free.

REB (JUNE 2012) Sometimes you have to sacrifice yourself to help others, it's not a bad thing, and it feels rather nice to know that, Hey I helped someone (or the world) . Smiles
