The Soft Lift, I Fly

In darkness, the soft lift I fly
This gift of movement, blessed am I

A gentle push towards the sky
Rotating back to see my body die

Inhaling however small the breath
Denying the inevitable time of death

The soul spirit leaving the warmth of my body
Struggling, to stay intact within me

Quietly floating, waiting for my final flight
Welcoming, the untold magic of light

Had it not been for the buzzing sound in my ear
Turning to the silent whisper coaxing me to steer

Back to the body, the breath of life was not meant to end
For I had an experience I needed to share and to send

A journey paved in uncertainty, a written path to follow
However lost, I will try again tomorrow
