The Sketching Class Poem by Ernestine Northover

The Sketching Class

Rating: 4.6

I had a sketching class today,
Actually it was free, I did not pay
To draw a very naked man,
Who posed in his altogether tan.
I started with him forward facing,
But I' m not much good, I'm better at 'tracing',
So the tutor took me under his 'wing',
But even then I could not draw his 'thing',
So I moved my chair, face looking 'red',
And drew his brown buttocks instead,
So therefore, now it has been revealed,
Anatomy is not my field,
Drawing private parts, although quite OK,
I'll save up for another day.
Next week a 'still life' I will do,
Which I think is more sensible, don't you.

Enjoyed the pawky humour Ernestine. I often wonder if the students aren't more embarrassed than the model. A stll life of bananas may prove useful

Ernestine, you've certainly sketched a very 'revealing' poem. Humerous as well... a fine piece of art! ! Brian

The laugh from this made it such great fun! If you do, do a still life, then be careful of the fruit you pick, it may give you flashbacks.love Duncan
