The Silent Beauty Of The Darkness Of Night Poem by Shalom Freedman

The Silent Beauty Of The Darkness Of Night

Rating: 5.0

The silent beauty of the darkness of night
A walk into the lure of the distance
Into the wilderness of a star scattered sky
Into the peace of no one else near
Into the freedom of forever moving on
Into a momentary circling of one’s own lost world.

A walk around the block again
At three o’clock in the morning
As if one has never walked here before
And every little light is a new sign
Of the brightness of going on in quiet inner joy forever.
