with broken wings
whirrs ceaselessly to
fly in vain

purrs by the side
and consoles the bird with
wearied eyes

While, in the vortex
of my coffee mug
an hapless ant
swiftly sucked in

and bursts as a firecracker
which confirms its death

in mundane chores
is haunted by the depletion of
