I know your heart, and all its pain
Of guilt and hurt and loneliness
And once alone I’ve felt the strain
A shadow on your loveliness

And while apart we can’t compete
With the strength we have together
A melody so sweet the beat
To guide us through bad weather

You build these walls to hide your feel
Disguise your soul from what is true
But there is no wall of board or brick or stone or steel
That could keep my kiss from you
