The Shadow Poem by William Carlos Williams

The Shadow

Rating: 2.8

Soft as the bed in the earth
Where a stone has lain—
So soft, so smooth and so cool,
Spring closes me in
With her arms and her hands.

Rich as the smell
Of new earth on a stone,
That has lain, breathing
The damp through its pores—
Spring closes me in
With her blossomy hair;
Brings dark to my eyes.

I love how imaganative this poem is. There are only a few poets like this. For example, Kanye West. Kanye is one of the greatest poets on earth with such poems like Gold digger. But William Carlos Williams is comparable to kanye. But what does this poem mean. I was looking for the taco bell website and i came across this. What is a poem, why are poems, who is poems. These are the questions my man William would ask kanye. Why are we always looking for waldo, is waldo a communist
