The Shadow Poem by Carolyn Sears

The Shadow

As I sit a top the mountain peak..
Gathering my thoughts,
Looking toward the setting of the
Sun,
As the stars, crown the sky…
The fields of meadows gaze
Into yonder land,
Murmuring shadows toil from
All the days of strife,
Chilled by the dew amidst the
Air..
The shadow bows and hurries
Alone their way,
Crying out fare thee well, oh
Fare thee well,
Tis another night I shall seek
And find all well,
Sitting, looking down from the
Top of the mountain peak..
I say to thee,
Oh fare thee well!
