The Setting Sun Poem by Thomas Adams

The Setting Sun

Tantalized was I to see,
the setting of the sun.
Even though the temperature
was wildly on the run.
Twas difficult to watch the show
while winter had a hold.
I'd wait until the show was done
before I left the cold.
I'd seen her rise but fall untamed
this setting of the sun.
Much more than just a picture framed
this setting sight was fun.
Called out to me and drew me to
a life all filled with heat,
And I would gander setting sun
whilst comfy in my seat.
Years went by, I didn't mind.
Each single day I filled,
the end of it. The set you see,
with colored warmth that thrilled.
As Death' will come to take me from
this life, I shall not run.
For he promised me he'd wait until
The Setting of the Sun.
