The Seed Poem by Katherine Perry

The Seed

Rating: 4.8

Can you see what is laid out for you and me all over this land
Can you see being whatever it is, that it has the upper hand

There is the greed, greed for money, greed for sex
Greed for most anything, so what could be next

There is greed within politics, we vote on who will be the next lead
The lead in making promises he can't keep

There is greed for food
That we all take for granted
When there are people on the streets
And these children left stranded

There is greed for fame and all that comes with it
And there is greed in love
The kind we can't get enough of

So now can you see what is laid out for you and me all over this land
Can you see being whatever it is, that it has the upper hand

So we ask ourselves, how did these things turn to greed
It did happen this way
Because we planted the seed!
