The Scent Of Her - Poem by Edwina Reizer

The smell of her hair
Perfume everywhere,
I was lost in the
Scent of her being.

The fragrance of lilac
Was all around her.
I knew it was she
Without even seeing.

The remembered perfume
Inside every room
Where she’d been
Had me believing

That not even the flower
Could smell as sweet
As I inhaled her
By simply breathing.

And so my love
Your scent stays with me
Always and forever
Never leaving.
