The Sadness Of Surveillance

I'm sad
that cops are being caught
shooting in the back.
What are they going to do now
who wanted to become cops
for the chance to do that?

I'm sad
for those in the fields they'll enter
where they're less likely to be caught.

I'm sad
for those in the fields they'll enter
after those in the fields they entered
have stepped up their catching technique.

I'm sad
that sadness seems
to increase with never a peak.
