The Runner Poem by chris ryder

The Runner

Rating: 5.0

a young boy runs
he runs alone
once,
once he was not alone
once he had friends who ran with him

now he runs from them
they gave in to....
they gave into societies hate
this young boy is different

for that he has been vilified
for that he runs
he runs and runs
dreaming of the day
when he wont have to run anymore

fearful of the day that he wont have to run anymore
so for that fear and for that want
he pushes his legs his body to his limits
he forces himself onwards

running forever because f societies misguided grievances.
