The Rose... Poem by James Al. Greco

The Rose...

Rating: 5.0

There,
Where your velvet hands tried to cut a deep red rose
there, the soil cured its thirst with a drop of your blood.
There, where your blood once quenched the thirst of the earth
now has bloomed the loveliest rose
that smells like you...

Lovely and insightful train of thoughts, well articulated, nicely encapsulated, and elegantly penned in poetic diction with conviction. Thanks for sharing James. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
