The Road Ahead Poem by Edwina Reizer

I assume and presume
that all is on track.
Whatever is happening,
there's no going back.

So many happenings
that will occur
will happen so fast.
It will all seem a blur.

But faith in yourself
will see you through.
There's really nothing
any of us can do.

Except keep love
alive in our hearts
as we pick up the pieces
and pick up the parts

That have taken us down
into an abyss
from the worship of money
and avarice.

It will not be esay.
The road will be long.
If we do the good things
and not the wrong

We'll awaken to
a brand new start
which never again
will tear us apart.
