The Road Poem by Sucheta Sarwan

The Road

Rating: 5.0

The sky looks bluer
The nights look darker
The station looks plainer
The house looked greener
Feel I fell for every wrong happened
I see myself and uncontrollable streams of blood flow from my eyes
Everything else looks prettier, much happier without me
The roads look filled
The woods look happier
They suddenly turn silent as if inviting for adventure
I then think to myself ' hope not spoil it too! '
And leave it as it is
And run way far away and promise myself never to look behind.
And as many unseen opportunities I leave this one too!
And let things take form and live up as they are
At night I see the old picture and feel an erk
And look at it carefully I see a lane leading to the woods
Somehow I'm able to see and feel the cold air
And realisei'm a part of it and feel lost
And follow the lane and live upto what comes.
Never feel sorrow this becomes worse as I realise I'm stuck in the picture
And finally open my eyes and find myself outside an identical door.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
After a lot of pondering and experience of a buck load of pressure from people I wrote this poem, in which I talk about all missed opportunities!
