The Rippling River Poem by Liton Chakraborty Mithun

The Rippling River

A mighty river flows past my heart.
Wave after wave ripples.
A fairy-like boat-girl sings love songs.
Rowing the boat toward nowhere.
I await the anchor to the bank
and have a floral touch of her.
But she is as abstract as mirage;
As concrete as lifeless stone.
I get not her mystery unveiled.
She passes behind my
sight
With the sunset of my feelings.
