The Ring Poem by Death's Shadow

The Ring

A full moon
reflects off the tears
from a young girls eyes.

She screams aloud with pain
because she wasn't ready,
but he still said goodbye.

The movement of the gold ring she threw
catches the eye of a wolf,
as she screams at the heavens,
yelling that he promised to always be there.

The wolf cries a mournful song
as a girl with tears in her eyes
and a gold ring on her finger
kneels down and whispers,
goodbye daddy.
