The Rhythm Poem by Chris 'N' John

The Rhythm

To your nest
I said
To your nest

The fated the faithful
The humble the noble
The poised the principled
Come along I prayed
No he said

Like a peacock he goes
Playing for time I hope
Minding not what happens
The life his life in a distance
May or may not have been affected

Could it be the usual?
Still teasing still testing
For how long would this
His rhythm last?
Can never tell but stick
Oh stick to the beat of this rhythm

To your nest
I said
To your nest

A rhythm could be replayed
