The Return Poem by Roman Nikolaev

The Return

***
When I’ll return where once I’d lived
I’ll find an empty lonely town
With birds that don’t know how to sing
With snow always falling down

When I’ll return I’ll find my pride
That I had buried long ago
My childish memories and rhymes
Still scar my feelings ever so

If it’s like that why have I come
To a place where I met the pain
And anger of the miseries
That simply could drive me insane?

The answer is I’ve loved you so
And could not easily forget
Please come to me and let us go
It’s not too late for our love yet…
