The Resurrection Of Jesus Poem by Dr John Celes

The Resurrection Of Jesus

'I’m leaving for my Father’s house right now;
I’ll get ready a feast for God’s beloved;
I leave my Spirit here, you needn’t fear; oh,
All mankind’s sins were washed by my blood-shed! '

And Jesus comes a second time to earth!
Then, choirs of angels will not be a dearth;
He comes to judge all those who had their birth;
He takes all righteous to eternal mirth.

Oh, what a lovely God with love endless!
Our fight with devils must be quite ruthless;
Our heavenly Father’s heart has great kindness;
Should we not keep our soul, pure and sinless?
