The Rainforest That Said No Poem by Vera Sidhwa

The Rainforest That Said No

Rating: 5.0

The rainforest's green,
It's lion growly roar,
And it's screeching parrots.
It drank some acid rain today.

The rainforest' green today,
Tattered and torn.
Acid rain wore out this forest.
It's canopy terrifically worn.

The environmentalists frowned.
People all around made loud sounds.
But the green universal protest,
Made no difference.

It saved no canopy.
It didn't save the lion,
And the parrot screeched louder.

Even though the green forest said no.
