The rain has come, my dear,
from light falls to darkness
the flowers looking to the sky.
The rain has come, my dear,
cold winds knocking at thy window
the birds hiding in the warmth of ones nest.
The rain has come, my dear,
tiny drops are pouring down
the melodist lullaby sings in our ears.
The rain has come, my dear,
the rabbit’s hop into the forest seeking shelter
trees swaying with delight.
The rain has come, my dear,
the thunders singing its notes for the rain dance
the sweet drops of dew gathering upon my lashes.
The rain has come, my dear,
with our heart in a fierce beat
we dance together on the empty street.
The rain has gone, my dear,
the sun has risen and the sky is clear
smell the rain that has fallen
The rain has gone, my dear,
the birds are chirping their songs of forgiveness
all the animals of day have awaken and spoke to the skies
The rain has gone, my dear,
we danced in embrace
the beats of our harmony soar in my memory.
The rain has gone, my dear,
the cleansing is complete.
You ask me of why we danced in the wet weather?
Oh, my dear, don’t you see?
…‘Twas
our
rain
dance
I too, have a love affair with the beauty and majesty of rain....so much so that my signature fragrance is called Rain.... your poem takes me into the refreshing peaceful calm that the drizzle provides....cleaning out and washing over all troubles in my mind. Quite simply put....loved being in your drenching poem. PEACE
