The Race Poem by Jennifer Birchall

The Race

Rating: 4.8

Everyone seems to be winning
In this race called life
I'm barely making it off the starting block
If I manage that, I trip, stumble and fall
Over the first hurdle

In the athletics 1500 meters runs without a starting block and no hurdles. Athletics is the queen of sports and 1500 m is the king of athletics. Try this race with life. It lasts longer and more interesting.

At least you got over the first hurdle. I am having a flashback to running an athletic race when I was about ten and it was the hundred yard dash with hurdles and I tripped over one of the hurdles, fell, and had to have my arm in a cast for quite awhile after that. But I did get over it. But doing so came with a high consequence of pain and inconvenience.
